Check out Undercover Tourist Crowd Calendar to help you decide the best time to go based on Holidays, Events, Etc.
We used Buena Vista Scooter Rentals and were extremely pleased with the scooters and the service.
Be sure to download the My Disney Experience App ahead of time and know how to make park reservations, complete online hotel check in, buy park and special event tickets, make dining reservations, and navigate Virtual Queue and Genie Plus. For help with all these things and more, check out My Magical Experience Plan Guide and Tutorial.
See if Disability Access Service applies to your senior and learn how to register here. This service can make navigating the parks with a senior more enjoyable if they quality for the service, otherwise we highly recommend using the Genie+ Service and Standby Skipper.
Minnie Vans (powered by Lyft) are able to accommodate scooters and wheelchairs and may be helpful if traveling to Disney Springs or another resort hotel for dinner or to the parks. Get a discount here when you sign up for Lyft.
