Episode 20 - How to Plan a Trip - Our Step by Step Guide to Planning Your Bucket List Adventure
We are often asked if we use a travel agent when planning some of our great adventures. The answer is both yes and no. Planning a trip to an unknown place is some of the most intimidating parts of traveling but it can often be part of the fun as well. We hope that this episode will make that task a little less intimidating and encourage you to try new places that you have never been before. Plan for that adventure of a lifetime. And do it like a pro. So grab your notepad and get ready to learn what goes into planning a trip.

Planning tools that we use and love
I get regular emails from Going (formerly Scott's cheap flights) to watch for flight deals. If I am looking for a certain flight, I'll put in alerts on Google Flights or Hopper and watch for them that way.
We regularly use Booking.com to book hotels, especially when we are doing road trips or not using our main hotel chain. This way we ensure that we are getting a great deal, a great cancellation policy, and there are no gaps in our stay since we can see it all in one place.
We also like to use Viator.com to book tours and excursions. Click here to a list of the tours and excursions we have booked through them in the past.
